I think it's silly to put the roof down below 15 degrees.

good work! welcome to the proper roadster owners club!
X2...

x3

Favourite time to have the roof down isn't height of summer, it's a crisp clear day in the middle of winter. Would swear the car sounds a little better too. Managed a couple of roof down trips in the snow last year, got a little extra use from the snowboarding gear :D

One of the great joys of driving in the winter is how well these cars run in the cold dense air... :driving:

Did it a few days ago and it was GREAT. People were staring and one even rolled down their window at a stop light to tell me I was crazy.

Would you feel the benefit of the lower heater on?( while the roof down)-my wife said it was only her legs that was cold yesterday-i didnt think of putting the heater on

I've driven topless since I was 17. It's annoying that people who've probably never been in an open top car think you're some kind of idiot.

I think it was an Autocar feature on a Morgan in the 70s that got me into it but it's a fantastic experience. Beats driving with the top down in summer when the sun beats down and you want to be in an aircon comforted Coupe.

Driving in the ran can be fun too as long as you don't hit traffic - then you are some kind of idiot!!

I'd rarely get it down if I applied that rule up here in the north!

Monday morning, loaded bike into boot, mostly dry roads but temp hovering between -2 and 1 degC, 50 miles of A/B-roads from my house to Glentress, roof down, great fun :)

My roof's down unless it's chucking it down.
temperature doesn't come into it for me really.. heated seats on, blower on full, side windows up slightly and wind deflector in place - that's all you need :D

I hold pride in the fact that in the lakes meet last year, I think I was the only one to keep the roof down when it started to rain a little!
It's only a little bit of water after all ;)

Yes - you can certainly notice the difference - the whole engine and response is more 'crisp'.

I actually haven't had the hood down for weeks, to be fair it had a layer of snow on it for most of that time, but I suppose now that I've no excuse I really should get it down on the way home from work, I'm beginning to forget that I actually drive a roadster! :|
