I need some help - but not straight-forward

Hi - Did you get sorted?
These guys are still delivering.

https://www.bestofbritishbeer.co.uk/beer-hampers.html

I think I am sorted yes, thank you.

But I will have a look at the link you sent too.
If I never get to see the old beggar again, at least I'll know he enjoyed a pint or two on me.

Currently in touch with this kind gentleman.
I'll let you all know the result once we're sorted. Suffice to say at this point that Easter is hopefully going to turn out a lot better than I thought it might. :)

At 6:25 this evening, my Dad phoned me. A bit confused as a lady he's never seen before appeared on his doorstep with a 4-pack of Greene King IPA.
Mrs [ref]gunners100[/ref], it turns out, works at a local Tesco. When she left work tonight she detoured to Littlehampton and took beer to my old man. Some detour, as I'm fairly certain she would have had to go significantly out of her way. Whatever the rights and wrongs of that, I would like to thank her from the bottom of my heart. That simple action has made my Dad very happy and for me, has shown the worth of this forum, and proved that there are still many decent people in the world.
When all this is over and we are allowed to travel again, I will be heading south to buy this lovely couple a drink or two.
In the meantime, I will endeavour to repeat the favour for anyone who needs it.

I could write for ages about how I feel, but in the end it boils down to this:

THANK YOU SO MUCH. :D

I do like a happy ending!

Forum power in action, thanks to "gunners100" and his O/H.

 glad your dad finally got a beer, and its good to know there is some positives amongst all the negative reports
Tell your dad cheers :drinkwine:

How are things on the coal face now sw4nny...? Any easing of the moronic panic buying...?

I’d rather sit online for hours getting a slot than see the greed, I’ve no patience with such stupidity so better to keep my nose intact and stay well away.....

Your helping everyone by staying away,no more panic buying thats slowed down a little while back, just too many folk coming on a far too regular basis ie i will get 2 pints of milk every other day instead of the 6 pints once a week
Although it is more civilised now.
The stores have nearly everything required so people should shop throughout the day there is no shortages, but still feel the need to to line up at 5.45 am .
Thanks for your concern,i am not really on the coal face thats the nhs and other emergency services
I am merely the winch man as are so many others. :)
