I need idiots guide to INPA and DIS

Hi

I've got the systems up and running on my laptop.

I want to simply see what error codes are showing on the car.
I think I have a miss fire and a mas code for example from when the car was at a garage a couple of weeks ago having a coil replaced, but how do I go through the different pages to find out ?

Am I that stupid ?

Please help.

DIS is best and easy, run diagnostic then quick test not quick delete.
Once the program has read each modules select bottom right function which will open up a different page. Now select module in left box,then in middle box select read memory, any faults will appear in right box. Then in middle box clear memory. Do this to each module in left box. This will clear all faults.

If you've got both running then great, otherwise I would have said INPA is easy to get to codes. But as Mac said just run through the quick test and it'll get to what codes are coming up. DIS has much more function than INPA so you can test more with that which will tell you more about how your car is running
