Can someone please be good enough to measure ride height for me on their car, 30i with M sport springs......... On a level surface please :)

I'm convinced mine is too high, people who have seen it think its too high, and before I buy replacements I want to compare, a measurement like below please, lip of bottom of wheel to wheel arch, front and back.

That was just a pic off the net to show the measurement needed. Why's it unorthodox? That's the correct way to measure ride height.

Right, just been out measuring!

Mine is a facelift Sport (so should be on M-Sport springs) with 18" wheels.

I got 598mm on the left and 597mm on the right.

Are you measuring from the rim ? Mine from floor to wheel arch is 650mm front and back, which is the 'usual' way of measuring. If mine was 620, then I would have no tyre visible under the arch. Oh and 18's on a coupe.

I should have read it properly.

OK, I've just been out with a torch so if the neighbours weren't sure I was a fruit loop before they know now!

596mm on both rears! All measured from the centre of the wheel rim at the bottom to the arch.

The correct way is to measure from the lower lip of the rim, that way any differences in tyre size and profile don't factor in. Can guarantee there's differences in tyre sizes from different manufacturers so it makes the measurement less reliable.
