I may have finally got a good one!

Melbourne Red F31 320i (B48) turned up yesterday and I can't find anything wrong with it! :o

Apart from the cosmetic bits that I knew about (wheels need sorting and a few marks on the body) it seems very good.
I didn't realise the wheels are painted Ferric Grey (I think), so paint is going to be dearer than standard silver
The ONLY slight thing is that the coolant is low (after a 5,000,000 point check from the garage!!) and they put two cheapo RFTs on the rear cos that's what garages do to increase their profit margins!

It has only 27k miles and has been serviced 7 times, so that's good.

It does have an isofix cover missing and annoyingly I had a spare from my E92 (both beige) but threw it out recently when sorting the garage. Typical!

The B48 is much smoother than the N20 and the manual gearbox seems a lot slicker than in the E89. No pictures yet as it's too cold to clean it.

Something to collect all the spare parts for the E89 in.
The main reason for an estate was to fetch parts for the Z3, but yes could come in handy for that too!

Bloody hell wonder how long it will last ;)

Ive got the B48 in my Mini Clubman JCW and its a cracking engine really enjoy it apart from the average mpg.

I do like a good estate car, preferably a fast one. Melbourne red is fantastic colour!
Possibly the most understated but astonishingly rapid car I've had was a Melbourne Red 335d Touring.
Upset a lot of people with that.

It sounds like you are really pleased with it so congratulations.

The daily we have is a 335xD (it’s Tanzanite Blue) and I hear what you say - it’s got some serious grunt and a lot of traction - I only wish that I had specced the estate F31 Version.

It will be a difficult car to replace when the time eventually comes - what else could I buy that can get 50mpg driven sensibly and yet can do 155mph (and it does )

Looking forward to the piccies
It's not an M-sport. Just a 'luxury' spec which seems to be basic SE with leather, fake wood and extended lighting.
No comfort access (I thought it had as standard)
No heated seats (I thought it had as standard)
No power seats
No folding mirrors
No auto dimming door mirrors
No Xenon or LED headlights. Candle headlights only.
Rear PDC only!

Good old BMW and their option lists, eh?

It does have power steering, though!

I'm sure it isn't as sparse as a basic Z4 though!

When I got my first Z4 it had less gadgets than the 1 Series it replaced.

You're going to struggle to sell it next week with such a poor spec :P
