lol, that still looks horrible...

At that price you might as well get a 996, probably more reliable
The Porsche is a safer bet certainly & would be a better allrounder & hopefully it won't let you down...in the six years I had mine anything that could go wrong did, my biggest bill was £11k....in fact thinking about it I don't miss it at all!

Itch cured :|
Maybe mine was a Friday afternoon car Slick! Don't let it put you off...you only live once :) you need to either be handy with the spanners or have plenty of money & I didn't have either quality unfortunately!

Don't bet on it Lee. My mate had a Cerbera too. Everytime it went into the garage (which was frequently) it cost him over a £1,000. The performance is amazing as is the sound but everything else is rubbish. They were and are cheap (for the performance on offer) for a reason. The looks are a bit marmite too.

Having said all that, weren't the Sagaris, 350 and Tamora supposed to be more reliable? I did read on PH recently though, a page where 350 owners were recommending potential buyers to go for one with an engine rebuild. This on cars with <40k on the clock!!

Unfortunately the speed six engine is supposed to be even worse & poorly engineered & needs a rebuild as a given...mine was rebuilt at only 20k miles & everyone said to me that the AJP V8 was the most robust there seems to be a common theme, as you say the performance is awesome but it comes at a price.

I had a 996 with some issues, but still more reliable than a TVR ;-)
If I would ever let my Z go, I'd probably go for a Boxster S or a Zed M....
