Occasionally, but not for a week or so'An unexpected database error occurred. Please try again later.' Does anyone else?
Oh, that’s not good. Would I know this other forum?I don't get this, but my email address was 'cloned' earlier in the week, so beware.
I was getting 200 returned emails an hour (!) that I wasn't sending.
After much digging and speaking to my email provider (I have a domain name, so emails are done through that), we think it was a data breach through another car forum.
After changing passwords everywhere the problem seems to have been sorted, for now.
Don't know but it not the other Z one.Oh, that’s not good. Would I know this other forum?
Okay, thank you, mind at rest now.Don't know but it not the other Z one.
I can't guarantee the problem came from the forum anyway.Okay, thank you, mind at rest now.![]()
Normally I've found when your email address is cloned it's usually someone trying to blackmail you or demanding money, usually by saying they have recordings of you doing sex acts etc or visiting dodgy websites etc. If you don't pay up then they forward the so called videos to everyone in your email contacts. Of course you can't block them as they're using your email. Usually find changing passwords gets rid of themI don't get this, but my email address was 'cloned' earlier in the week, so beware.

Mine was nothing like that. Someone was trying to send multiple emails for medicines out using my email address. I know because the spam filter on my email server was blocking them and sending them back to me.Normally I've found when your email address is cloned it's usually someone trying to blackmail you or demanding money, usually by saying they have recordings of you doing sex acts etc or visiting dodgy websites etc. If you don't pay up then they forward the so called videos to everyone in your email contacts. Tim.
What annoys me is what you would think are reputable companies will happily supply your email address to not so reputable people who will then go away and make someones life a misery. It's the only reason I can think of as why these people get hold of your information. I always find it pretty disconcerting receiving an email from my address from a stranger. I tend to change my email login every couple of weeks and it seems to have done the trick.Mine was nothing like that. Presumably my email address, being a pretty ordinary UK one, looks more trustworthy than from where it was really coming from.
I don't know anything about this kind of thing, and don't want to know TBH. I just want my info and emails to be safe.
