Well - that was a bit quicker than I expected it to be but I've bought pretty-much my dream z4 within a few days of really looking, and from only 18 miles away.

53 plate 3.0 SE Roadster, manual, Nav, prof DSP stereo, folding mirrors, silver with red leather, 18" composites, oem xenons and heated seats.

She's a beauty and drives silky smooth.

Only a few minor niggles to address (isn't there always) - any assistance / pointers greatly received

1. Cruise control retrofit needed
2. Cup holders needed - I know I know, but a 2500 euro trip is in June and we may well need somewhere to put a bottle of coke
3. Flap covering the cig lighter won't fully open/retract, didn't want to force it but needs sorting as cant use cig lighter for power at the mo
4. Wheels all need refurb but tyres all great
5. Oil and brake fluid change required
6. New Nav cd and firmware required urgently - it's still got the first disc in it from 03!!

The seller is just sorting out a new 12 month mot for me and then i'll collect in the week.

To say I'm excited is an understatement!!

Excellent - congratulations !

Cruise is real easy in the pre-facelift cars as the loom is there already. Cupholders... Get a good slagging off, but when you need them and they are not there then it's a total PITA.

I want to put cruise in mine, but I'd need to run the loom, so it'll have to wait for warmer days and some help from my friends 8)

dont get the OEM style cup holders, least the ones the USA gets are absolute junk... do not trust them to hold anything for very long.

Great colour/wheel /spec combo
sure you will get on with the Z just fine ,
the euro jaunt sounds good , where you heading ?

where are you based Re recommendations for service/wheel refurb ?

Euro trip is to Rome, but taking in lake Constance, stevio pass, Modena, bologna (ducati factory), Florence, Rome then Milan and Bruges on the way back.

A fair compromise between culture (wife) and driving pleasure (me!)

Wheel refurbs - probably Belmont Metal Finishing in Old Dalby as its only 2 villages away from me and the guys do me a decent deal.

Sure will.

Just need to get everything sorted so i can collect this week sometime - JUST WANT TO DRIVE IT NOW though!!
