Hiya everyone,
Just went through and read the messages on here. This is a perfect example of 'there's always 2 sides to a story'. So I guess I have to explain myself now.
Firstly, let me start by apologizing for not posting on this forum frequently enough. I have been extremely busy in the warehouse and sorting out a lot of personal things in life. I did mention this in one of my earlier posts you can find on here.
The buyer, Mr Oscar to be respectful, had contacted me yesterday about the whole situation. I did not delay in getting back to him and replied to him in minutes to help him out. I have proof of this and messages sent to him. While he chose to use offensive and threatening language I still remained to help get to the bottom of this.
He sent me a picture of the bonnet damaged with all the packaging ripped open and showed me the picture of how I had packaged it up. I managed to get in touch with his own courier he used, from Spain, and luckily he had a picture of how it arrived at his depot before it was transported (I have picture of this too). I asked his courier if it was opened or had issues with customs/checks etc, and he confirmed to me that it was never once opened or damaged. I relayed this information over to Mr Oscar which he didn't seem to agree with.
He then messages me to say that I have sent him the wrong part. He claims it isn't an msport bonnet and he had been scammed? I reassured him that the bonnet had been removed from an msport Z4 and it would fit both E85 and E86 and even told him to test fit it. I asked for his car details to check fitment (incase he had preface lift with single latch) which he didn't give me. He then stated he would like his money back as he felt he had been scammed. I had no objection to issue him a full refund, but the problem then was that he didn't want to return the part? I thought he's got to be kidding surely! As like any other businesses refunds can only be issued when the part is returned to the warehouse, unless ofcourse it is the sellers fault, which it clearly wasn't.
The buyer has received the bonnet as described, same colour as the pictures I sent him as an example, safely and securely wrapped, his courier confirms this and says there were no issues and I have offered to give him a full refund when the part is returned to warehouse. He basically expects me to give him his money back and keep the bonnet for free. How is that fair?
I had held onto this bonnet for weeks for him as he was first dibs. There were many others interested too. He took a while to sort out courier and payment, which at that point I thought maybe he's just wasting my time, but eventually did sort it out.
I'm sorry if I have caused anyone problems on here, I know I have a poor past record with communicating with sellers and buyers but I do eventually respond. As previously stated I hardly come on here to post in discussions, but that's just me I guess, a boring old fart who's too busy with boring things...
One thing I know is that I have never scammed anyone or ever will. I try my best to resolve things if there's any issues. I guess I should just stick to selling from the warehouse rather than on various forums and car clubs...
