I have a car related challenge for you all !

i did say this was difficult guys, hence why i was asking for help.

She wont go for a new mini as the one she has is doing her head in.
Fiat 500 is quite cool - i will mention it, but is it too typical of a womans car, i.e. a bit obvious ?
The bread van M coupe, is a little bit too hardcore for her i think. Plus its too old - doesnt meet the brief.

The only car that ticks all the boxes so far is the new TT. We have almost come full circle so now i need to find one if i can in the set budget.

I think we're going at this from a bloke's point of view (reassuringly) and she'll like one just because of the colour. Bit dear this one, but see what you think........ http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2007-57-Audi-TT-FSI-ROADSTER-ONLY-1-IN-THE-UK-PINK_W0QQitemZ150371506090QQcategoryZ9835QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp3907.m8QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DMW%26itu%3DUCC%26otn%3D39%26po%3DLCA%26ps%3D4

The first person to use the word 'hairdresser' should pay a fine for being too obvious

You have so many interesting cars to choose from, how do you do it? We have North American "crap", Japanese stuff and very few Euro cars to pick from. There are so many cars in this thread alone that I'm embarrassed to say that I've never heard of most of them.

A glutton for punishment... has anyone suggested...

Other than that, we could turn this into a competition: split into 2 teams - team A finds Easty's missus a new car, team B has to master alchemy!

Winner is the first to finish.
(team B :poke: )

Actually, quite enjoyed this exercise!

A saab, these are for old people who think they are driving a sports car. she is 30 next year, not 65! ......or have i missed the joke here

:o if she drove round in that she would have the press giving her hassle thinking it was Jordan and i would not wish that on any woman.

Yes, it's, er, different. Did you ask her if she likes it though?? lol years ago saw a pink TVR at the dealer and joked about how they'd sell it. When I went back it'd gone...but they'd had to respray it first

To be honest, im not even going to present that pink monstrosity as an option as she would think ive finally lost it !

I want her to get a car i would also be proud driving, i used to drive her vw beetle cabriolet (very occassionally i might add when i had no choice) but there is no way i woudl be seen dead in that pink TT, in fact i wouldnt even allow it on my driveway !

I'm struggling to think of what else...

Here's one: Volvo C30 T5 with the R Design kit. Same engine as the Focus ST but in a nicer, understated, classier body. Needs to have the R Design bodykit (£500 option from Volvo) to look good though IMO. Love the two-tone leather interior too.

Practical? Yes
Needs to look good, stylish and cant be something too common. Subjective, but yes and yes again
Needs to be farily new, no older than 2003 ish ? Yes
Needs to be comfy with gadgets. Tick.
12-15K Budget. Easily
Coupe or convertible – no preference really. Well, Volvo will tell you it's a coupe but it's a sporty hatch...

Not just the fiat 500 but the new Abarth... Looks the muts
Or... (biased here) Boxster Boxster Boxster ! Like my specced 987 S but early 987 2.7s are getting to the sort of money your talking about and the rear main seals are'nt an issue on the later cars and not the end of the world if they do go
