We're off to Goodwood at 5am tomorrow for the festival of speed. Never been before so really looking forward to it. Meeting friends there, one of whom called me today to say 'hey guess where i am?'
Go on then
'Goodwood!!! Got a free ticket from a friend!!'
If he was a real friend he would have got roofless one too!!!! :)
Jammy toe-rag has been telling me how wonderful it was today!!! He's gonna have to earn some brownie points now by being an expert guide tomorrow !!!

I went today, it really was brilliant. BMW were as hospitable to owners as ever, and they had a number of guest celebrities, including Jake Humphrey. I can't go this weekend, but anyone who is will be in for a treat. Awesome stuff! Thrill of the day, either the Tag Heuer girls (it's my birthday today, so you officially have to forgive this rather sad comment - it's written in law) or the Red Arrows, they really do make one feel proud to be British!! Sorry been trying to post but a bit knackered and back at work this am and it's manic!
Had a fab day at goodwood and anyone there today or due tomorrow will love it i'm sure. We didn't get to see all of what was on and were there from 8:00 am till 18:00
My wife loved the supercars the most

Nice pics Taz? Nice is when you just clean the car and it doesn't rain all weekend.....or when someone doesn't piss on the toliet seat before you use it.... :P

The pics are amazing! Really makes me wish I went!! I wanted to do Salon Prive this year as was local to me but I'm in Dubai...

Looks like a great event....and once again pics are great!!

Thanks guys
i took loads but haven't been through them all - and didn't want to bore people either! I'm sure everyone will get something different from the weekend and i look forward to seeing what others post.
I'm not sure the wife will rush to go back next year, she enjoyed it but got a little bored watching car after car go up the Hill. I was like a little kid all day look, 'look at that' 'look here' 'come and see this'.
It's a great atmosphere, the drivers and crews were really understanding and as i'm not a big racing fan i didn't queue up to get an autograph from anyone but the Indy 500 drivers were dishing out autographs like no tomorrow. It's the first time i've been 10 feet from an F1 car with it revving it's nuts off - What a Sound!!! That i think was the highlight getting in so close to the cars. Gasoline Alley was deafening as the guys were starting up their cars and revving the beejesus out of them :)
And Goodwood is just like having every car book you owned come to life in front of you. The e-types there OMG!
Finally decided that i might actually like Ferraris when i stood beside a beautiful California convertible. I can't think of much that wasn't there. BMW presence pretty muted, Audi stand huge in comparison and the owners get a ringside view.

Free drinks if you take your BMW key to the stand, they charge for food but it's not a bad terrace to chill on for a few minutes. We did think about going up there for the red arrows but glad we didn't as part is covered and the Nissan stand blocks some out. We stood on the grass between the BMW stand and the track and had a fab view of the arrows.
