I hate this time of year :-(

admiral for me too.

Last year i got a quote from elephant (which i think share the same parent company) who were cheaper without mods.... rang back Admiral, gave them the ref number, inc my mods and they bettered them :D

I used Esure this year on the M. No problems and a nice competitive quote too. I haven't renewed with them solely because i took out an Admiral multi-car policy on my other car and the M is now on that until mid-November. I'll reassess things in the next week or two myself.

In the same situation ,lived in the US for six years and no insurer will give any NCB even with proof ,then back to UK two years on a co policy most insures would recognise any NCB .The best I could find was BRIDLE £680 with 3 points that's for7500 miles per year and also covers five track days a year ,so seems ok strange it went up from the 911 by £140 to insure the M same group

Might be worth speaking to esure again if youre happy. I bought a town hack Golf in April and spoke to them about multicar (which they dont do). What they did do though was take my NCB into account on the insurance for the Golf as I was already a customer with the ///M

Just been on the Tesco comparison site and quotes range from £532-£2548!! FFS :headbang:

Classicline still looking the best so far.

Considering my age, 3 points, the mods on my car and only 3YNC, I think I have actually robbed them :D

That's because you still live in a part of the country where they point at aeroplanes

i did my renewal last weekend on the e89 and managed to get a further £100 off by ringing admiral, who i have been with for 4 years now..... so £600 insurance for a 36k car is not bad at all

Just did mine - renewal note came in from Admiral and had increased by £600 for all 3 cars ... Due to a deer (fault claim), rear ended (no fault, third party settlement claim), car park front end (no fault no claim) and another car park (no fault, claim against 3rd party settled) in one year.

Considering we'd both had just one accident between us in the past 20 years before this, and the only fault claim was due to a herd of deer bolting across a main road, thought the increase was a bit steep. So after checking out other sites, went on the admiral site and entered our car details, but as my neighbour. Then phoned up admiral, politely pointed out the difference ..... and insurance this year has only gone up by £70. Result.

Tapatalking...

Update and result !

Called Classicline on Monday and told them about my More Than Quote and they have come back to me today with a renewal of £462.42 again with equity red star, a saving of £70 odd so chuffed to bits :-)

Daz, That's the exact same price and company that they've quoted me with as well. Well impressed.

That's not a bad Price is it Steve, must be the celubrius, low crime capital of the UK in which we live, not :-))

My renewal with Chris Knott this july was nearly £ 500, I did a quick comparison site check and got it for £ 232 ( fully comp, protected) with Swiftcover. What was weird was that going direct to Swiftcover was more expensive than going through the comparison site, when Swift would have to pay commission to them.I hope it's that cheap next year.

My documents came through this morning and whilst looking through noticed that I had "nil" NCB, enquired at Classicline and they told me I didn't need any NCB with this policy as it is a Classic policy not an ordinary car policy, I thought a vehicle had to be at least 10 yrs old, so it looks like Equity Red Star have recognised the Z on their Classics Register, Happy Days

Daz have you had to provide colour photos and a valuation? I've been asked to. If you have where did you have your valuation from?

No Steve, but i think they will do the valuation for £15-£20 iirc, I'll see if I can find the info for you and pop it around

£280 Fully Comp with Guaranteed Cover, 8 years NCB, No Points, all modification declared, 28 years old, on my Z4C.

Thats with Admiral Multicar Cover, the Mrs Audi TT Roadster on there for £380 with similar stats.

An astonishing renewal if I do say so myself....
