He was was complaining about a drone in the car, Naturally i told him it was him and to stop talkling but he said no.. it wasnt that.
We went for a drive and lo.. it wasnt him, i had put my tyre pressure gismo and it told us the front right was getting warmer. having checked the disks were not binding or catching and were still coolish, we jacked it up and had a jiggle, and for comparison did ther same for his nearside front, all fine there, the tight old scroat informed me he put a wheel bearing on there 2 years ago, but maybe £2.50 and a free drink might not have been a quality bearing he put on..

We then went for a gentle game of pool, a set of closely fought matches, despite him bringing his own que with the end result of 6-0 to the home team, i did suggest he used the other end of his que, but to no avail. :o

But i am happy to report he went home happy as i gave him an ECG, and dispite him smoking 85 fags a day his heart is healthy. Who knew ?

It was great t' see the old brummie git again  Yep, it was a great afternoon, i told him to come back on the forum and spread his witty & somewhat annoying banter again.

We did find using his fancy gizmos that the droning i have been experiencing of late was indeed the front O/S wheel bearing :headbang:
It was replaced 18 months ago by walkers of leicester because of the dust shield replacement :(

I dont smoke that much but it was great t' hear that me lemon aint bad after all these years  So hope he sticks around on here for a bit.

Oh! and i let him win cos i felt sorry for him

I do enjoy his slightly wayward posts I have to say, though when I initially read it as 'I had A Tug..............' I was a bit worried.

For those perhaps confused and dazed, a translation

He was complaining about a drone in the car. Naturally, I told him it was just him and to stop talking, but he insisted it wasn't.

So, we went for a drive, and lo and behold—it wasn't him after all. I had left my tire pressure gizmo on, and it indicated that the front right tire was getting warmer. After checking that the brake discs weren't binding or catching (and were still relatively cool), we decided to jack it up and investigate. For comparison, we did the same for his nearside front tire, which was fine. The tight old scroat then informed me that he'd replaced the wheel bearing there two years ago—but considering it cost him £2.50 and a free drink, perhaps it wasn’t exactly top quality. 🤣

After that little adventure, we went for a gentle game of pool—a set of closely fought matches. Despite bringing his own cue, the final result was 6-0 to the home team. I did suggest he try using the other end of his cue, but to no avail. 😏

On the bright side, I'm happy to report he went home satisfied after I gave him an ECG. Despite smoking 85 cigarettes a day, his heart is still in good shape!

I am 'confused and dazed' by the need for this translation if I'm honest.

It's good to see you drop by road warrior.

I always enjoyed your entertaining musings!

Oh, so you let me win eh ? No doubt the sudden attack of tourettes helped alot, I think you can get some ointment for that. Maybe I'm being unkind, he only has little legs and couldn't see over the pool table.. :poke:

Oh i could see over the table, but at my age i just couldn't bend my back far enough over it  I was surprised however that the old duffer could, and did manage to pot (luckily) a few. Which is quite a feat considering he is almost as blind as an old brummie bat! :driving:
