I Give Up - Impossible Bulb Replacement

Im confused You should still have more than enough room to use a pair of pliers if the wheel is turned Outwards on the side your trying to access (not inwards). Also the to retaining prongs are soft enough to bend open slightly with finger pressure (then squeeze close again after).

Sorry if I’m missing something as images are being blocked via my work server.

Yep - xenons. That's the halo bulb, looks like it has been modified to take an LED bulb because IIRC the fitting and bulb come as one unit if you buy from BMW.

it did have LED's fitted, at the moment i have gone back to standard lights

yes there is room when you turn the the wheel out, but with the wheel on its not as clear so when i was not 100% certain what i was doing it was more tricky

I changed my dipped beams and one sidelight today with the passenger side cover coming off easily but the for the life of me I couldn't get the driver's side cover off and out to get access to the sidelight. It appeared to be stuck between the two headlight adjusters and the concave shape along the top stops it just sliding out. Am I missing something, how did you guys remove the driver's side cover (the one with the seal)?

Thanks

What is life coming to, when it's getting difficult to change a light bulb. Not had one go on the Zed yet. :) Last time the passenger side light blew on my Mazda I gave up after 30 mins and took it to my local mechanic, who changed it in about 20 seconds for free. He obviously makes enough out off us.

Just wait until the newer cars start to need new bulbs. An auto electrician told me recently that manufacturers are starting to fit transponders (?) to bulbs etc and even if you can fit them you need a main dealer to code them into the cars computer before they will work.

They say it's much easier on a ramp!

I used to take my E85 to the dealer to swap the lamps for the euro trip each year and that's what he did!
