I Give Up - Aux Lead

I give up... I have spent the last hour searching through all of my posts trying to locate one important link that someone gave me before...

To date... I have bought and tried 4 different types of aux leads in which 3 out of 4 of them worked...

On my previous Z4 I had installed an aux lead that had an aux to iPhone connection which allowed me to control the >> next and << previous songs from the controls on the radio... when I bought my Z4 Coupe a few months ago I just opted for the standard aux to iPhone connection (which did not support radio control)...

Someone on this forum posted a link on a thread for the radio support lead and I simply cannot find the post :( :( :(

Can anyone recommend a lead / device that will:

- allow you to control the tracks from the radio controls
- display track name
- charge your iPhone

Or am I asking for too much :?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help...

a denison lead would do all this the gateway 100 or 300 http://www.ipodcarkitdirect.co.uk/BMW_ice%3ELink_Gateway_100

+1 to the Dension. I just installed a Gateway 300 which plays from USB too, but if you only want iPod then a Gateway 100 will suit.

Edit: here's my discussion thread.

You could try the Kensington Liquid Aux lead. There are two versions one includes a cradle, but I preferred it without. The iphone / ipod connects to the dock lead and then the other end plugs into a 12 v power socket and an Aux connector. The package then comes with a remote that neatly wraps around your steering wheel. This allows you to pause, play, shuffle, next track etc. The receiver for the remote is in the 12V adapter.

Quite a neat solution IMHO.
