Thanks, I didn't know that. I thought they were all 231bhp until the E89 version.
 
I knew as soon as you drove one you would fall for that 3.0 it is a peach of a car and it has to be a roadster only :)

I hate imprecision - it's not roughly anything, it's exactly 34bhp :poke: :lol:

ronk - totally different engine in the 3.0Si... Pre-facelift 3.0 is M54, post-facelift 3.0 is N52.

So my E89 3.0 has the N52 engine but (from memory here) only has a quoted 257BHP ?
 
Yes Ron, weird that the E89, E90 and E85/86 all quoted different power for the same engine.

Ally had a 330i that quoted 270hp. An N52 3.0i 6 pot. Yet different power than the 3.0si zed. Confused.com :?

Surely it must just be how the engine is mapped ? Not that I have a clue how you map an engine mind :oops:

I left it out of the car forum thread. But have you noticed that nearly every M owner feels it necessary to mention they have an M. In every thread they post in. Every thread ;)

I think coupe drivers (sorry "Z4MC" drivers) are worse :P
