OK, showing my E85 ignorance, my wife's has silver roll hoops, but yours are black? Is that a model difference or have you wrapped them too?

I tried to wrap them but failed epically...twice. Instead I just rattle canned them with a black satin. Happy with the results and an easy job to do.

Did the same thing for my missus as a Valentine present (ish) this year.
Almost identical, 53-plate 2.5i. She loves hers too, and is already talking to her contacts from McLaren and Lotus (where she's been a purchasing manager) to get the seats and steering wheel redone. Oh, and another contact who does exhausts. Oh, and another contact who refurbishes alloys..................:roll:
I hope both our better halves are soon out on the road enjoying their cars.

I hope my Mrs doesn't get the taste for modding...only I'm allowed to do that!! :wink:

To be fair she already wants a spoiler and alloys powder coating black...this might get more expensive than I planned!!

Great post - you echo a lot of my thoughts re. roofless motoring. Very tempted to do the same thing as road trips were far more of a shared experience when I had my roadster. That is the definitive pre-facelift Zed too. Sterling grey, 108s - looks great.

Now there's a thought! Out through the top of the rear wing. One either side, and the heat should dry out the water traps in the inner wings as an added bonus.

I've experienced the pleasure of driving in many places. I would say Italy worst then Pakistan. USA lovely bunch. Though I do recall stopping at a red light in the wrong part of LA and thinking we are about to be mugged, as the car was surrounded by youths.

There are definitely parts of LA to be avoided....
I do remember riding both the Moto Guzzi and the Road King through the Joshua Tree then National Monument prior to park status and millions of visitors each season. So Cal has some of the best roads and nicest weather a driver or rider can find. Glad you came to see us

When we did the West Coast loop we took a wrong turn in LA and ended up in what looked like a scene straight out of Grand Theft Auto just as the sun was setting. It didn't help we had the roof down at the time and our suitcase on the back seat which was a massive union jack flag. Needless to say I wheel span my arse out of there as quickly as we could.

I'd heard a lot of bad things about driving in LA and tbh I found driving in the USA blast...the ability to turn right at a red light was great!
