I dont see the problem .......1 in the passenger seat and 1 in the boot......sorted ( glad to be of assistance)
 
Like other have said you must be fairly close to walk and push a double pram/buggy. Is a taxi and a couple of child seats an option?
 
Like others have said there's no way I'd be letting my kids tell me what car to drive. If you WANT a bigger car (hot-hatch?) so you can spend more time with your grandkids fair enough but getting rid of your pride and joy because they think you need to, no way.

Also like others have said you're saving them a fortune on childcare, so have them buy a runabout for you to use.
 
sell up I get a estate, get a puppy too, you know it makes sense

I say keep the zed and i find it hard to believe that family would suggest getting rid so you can help them.
Keep it get them dropped at yours or walk to theirs. And dont forget that your doing them a massive favor.

I would do anything for the kids within reason.
They only live a short walk away but I don't want to be stuck in their house or ours all the time, I'd like to get out and about :driving: visiting friends and relo's with them.
I might consider looking for a cheap runaround for the job and keep the Z.

+1 its worth doing the man maths though as a cheap runaround will still add up to over £1k in the first year likely (depending on your insurance costs) and half that each subsequent year.

Difficult one. I'm going to try and be pragmatic here. It's always a one way street with your kids. You give them every thing you can muster, time, money, love your life, if they needed it and any thing you get back i an bonus. Not quite the same with the grand kids. They are their parent responsibility.

I'm not saying you shouldn't sell up and buy 3 series vert, but if your going to do that, do it because you want to do that, so that you can enjoy taking the grand kids out. Not because you think it will help your son & daughter out. They are adults they could and would sort things out without you, if they had to.
