220 miles to collect my car (Z4M) in my Lotus Exige = 1 x sore ass.

220 miles coming home in the Z4M = 1x recovered backside :D

What a drive - this thing is even better than I imagined -I'm hooked!

Ps having the roadster clearly helps

This is the post I'd been waiting for. Well done Smudgers. Enjoy your new toy :driving:

I had an Elan M100 Calypso Red in almost showroom condition and yes I do miss it - I love my 3.0 Zed but in a different way - it looks good , is faster and more practical and comfortable but there is something about the Lotus. I suppose it is its exclusivity - you look on autotrader and there's roughly 12 Elan's for sale nationally and 1500+ zeds ! Perhaps I ought to look to replace my silver 3.0i with a red M roadster as they are seemingly quite rare!

Always one to exaggerate - checked this morning there is only 668 Z4's advertised nationally !!

I know a very nice Imola Red Roadster for sale Gov ;)

Z4MR is a real 'jack of all trades'.

Comfortable when the roof is up, capable of 30+ mpg if driven modestly on a motorway, has all the toys you'd expect in a premium GT car

but

roof down, foot down it turns into a real grin inducing hooligan with that engine noise howling away behind you.

Little to touch it IMO. Enjoy.
