Right....my 108s have started to corrode again and so I think it is time for a change however I keep going round and round on what wheels and size of wheels to get. Basically I have narrowed it down to either the 18" CS or 19" CS Y spoke from BM autosport. Most likely in silver. Its definitely a head vs heart job! I thought Id write all of my thoughts down to try and make up my mind. Feel free to help!! :?
Head says 18"
+ Can keep the tyres that I have already.
+ because of above, much much cheaper than going to 19" route.
+ wont affect handling.
+ Not too many people have them
- Sometimes look at the 108s and think they look small, will these do the same?
- Not sure that offset would be enough to make the wheels more flush with the body.
Heart says 19"
+ Looks the bomb
+ If I ever wanted to sell them would probably be able to shift them pretty easily.
- lots of people have them
- May affect handling (tram lining etc)
- Will probably have to fit lowering springs to get the best look.
- Will have to buy a full set of 19" tyres.
- More road noise?
- Rubbing?
Costing it all up to fit the 18s would cost me around the £500, fitting the 19" would mean £1100 (not including fitting lowering springs if I decided it was too high).
Has anyone on here got the 18" CS type wheels (not CSL reps), I'd be really interested to see pics, particularly if they're on an Si.
