I can't decide which interior color... Found a Z4, not sure though :-)

Hi!

Im looking for a used BMW Z4 2.3 2009-2011, white, M-sport. I saw a Z4 for sale not far away from where I live. This car has got almost everything I want... No Navi though.

But the biggest thing that makes me hesitate is the leather interior. I have only been looking for black leather, but this one has walnut (correct me if im wrong). Here are some pics: http://mtbil.se/bilder.php?regno=ZNC860&morepics=1&look=magnustorngrenboras

I cant make up my mind....

To quote what Jaxz4 said to me when buying my car.... How many black interior cars will you own in a lifetime... Go for something different

I'd be more concerned that the steering wheel is on the wrong side

The BMW walnut (as the VW equivalent) is a bit of an unfortunate shade imho. Really you need to see it in person to make up your mind.

Obviously the best leather colour with white exterior is coral red :p

I quite like that walnuts interior!

When I bought, I bought the car, not the colour. If it ticks boxes with history and spec, I'd go for it.

Great color combo Works for me, Tan, Walnut, Beige, my favorite interior colors . Personally I would never buy a car with a black interior, no character. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If its going to bug you every time you get in it then don't buy it keep looking.

If you're getting a white car you really need something either dramatic or very continental (e.g. something saddle tan or ivory) on the inside. If you want the tried & tested option then go for coral red!

I had a tan leather interior in my Fiat Coupe and loved it. To be honest though I'm not sure it goes so well with white. I would go a see one in the metal.

I've had 2 alpine white e89s, in black and coral red. Both looked uber cool.

Idrive is a must.

Don't think I could live with walnut brown.

Mmmm, not sure - when I see red leather interiors in white E89's I instantly like the combo. This combo just doesn't do it for me.

I have Walnut leather but space grey exterior...

I wasn't sure when I bought it...

But love the contrast now, and it does get commented on often..

I don't mind black either, but in a white car you need something a bit more "exotic"..

We can't tell you if it's right for you, but it's already making you hesitate so probably not the right car.
I'd just comment that the combo you suggest and with no nav system is certain to put off a percentage of future buyers compared to say black or red and with nav and thus reduce it's value or ease of sale.

3 cars on my drive all with light / beige interiors. Always makes me laugh when I read about people who have black interiors and then spend £1,500 on a sunroof to 'lighten up the interior' !! I think walnut is a lovely colour but then I would never buy a white car and think that walnut is best suited to a darker colour.

This was not my first choice, I did want coral red but couldn't find one with the specifications I wanted.but I now quite like the extended brown leather with white stitching

+1 on idrive in an E89. It is a must. It does so much. Later models have slightly better traffic maps, but not a huge difference. My only gripe is that its quite slow compared to the version in the 4 series.

I think a Z4 buyer would like the contrast, but I don't think it's a true walnut. Real walnut is much lighter and not so brown. Actually BMW should have made an 'Oak' option available for the UK I'm sure it would sell well — imagine white exterior and oak dash, sounds appealing even for me.

Well it certainly looks different, and I'm not just talking about the cap ;/

Hi

I quite like that surprisingly ... we played it safe with our Melbourne red 35is went for black leather, wish I had gone for red interior now and silver paint. Its just that for long term ownership silver is abit more forgiving for scratches and stuff like that. But said all of that most of the colour options look ok when you see them for real ... then there is the Valencia orange version

I only have this crappy phone pic of mine, and it doesnt show the contrast to the grey exterior.

But you get the idea,
