I cant be so unlucky!

Hi

I have loved my journey and its been a difficult and short one, but having said that, I am amazed at how many perspective buyers have searched this forum RE my car!

My advert is honest and yet people are picking up on possible steering issues which is obviously causing some concern with potential buyers!

I wonder if as many sellers have paid as much as I have to get the car back to how it should be  I am actually getting people retract their offers :headbang:

Auto-trader has 10 x Z4's (3.0) and most are older and with more miles and a higher price. I am not sure why my car is being considered a risky purchase! Yes I have had some bad luck, but all the issues are known to Z4's or have been general failure items.

Maybe I should keep it

Keep it mate, maybe it just isn't meant to be and keeping it is the best option :)

LOL, It may be someone telling me something! I don't think asking 6K for it is way off  The buyer offered £5500, which I accepted, then read forum entries and retracted stating he didn't want to pay £5500! :headbang:

To be honest, the work you have done should increase the price, I’m guessing it's the posts regarding the fact you still thought you had an issue, maybe get an indy to clarify that there is no issue with the car and any problems have been rectified, it will give the buyer confidence :)

The amount you have spent on the car though it maybe worth keeping it if you can and get some use out of it

Hi, yeah I am with you 100%, that's why I took her for a fresh MOT (3 months before expiry) and check up at Darren Wood, but I guess people only read and see the bad

I've got lots of sympathy chap, keep the beautiful Z, come for a drive, let the sun shine! You must have just had all your bad luck at once. Generally, whilst that pees you off, it can also mean you're due some luck. Go buy some lottery tickets! I'll go halves with you..
You deserve something back from the Z, Reaper.

Well a nice enthusiast popped to see the Zed tonight and made a deal, deposit paid and rest to follow shortly. Its good to see than someone who loves cars will get to enjoy the Zed and the small fortune that I have spent on it  I have really done it back to front by sorting the issues and then selling

A bid retraction says to me they wernt genuinely interested in the first place. I've only retracted a bid once, it was when I was put on the spot to put a bid on a coupe actually that was my no 2 choice. I did like the car but it needed some work. The owners husband put me under pressure to give him a bid on the day and I caved. When I went home and did my maths it didnt work out and so I had to retract the bid.

I felt very disrespectful doing it but it just wasnt what I wanted at the price. Had no hesitation with my zed though, went in with all my homework done, saw the car, made the offer on day 1 and nearly 3 months later bought it for that price!
