Well, soemone had to say it

I bought both Reinhold Modules both will make life that little bit easier  and only £116 for both including delivery

BMW Z4 Remote Roof Module

The installation of this module means that you can open/close the roof by your BMW remote Key. The roof will open if you press the open-button of the remote key three times within 5 seconds. To close the roof operates in the same way: press the close-button of the remote key three times within 5 seconds. In case of necessity the opening of the roof can be stopped by pressing the close-button of the remote key. You also can stop the closing by pressing the open-button of the key.

BMW Z4 "one touch" Module

The installation of this module means that the switch no longer has to be held until the roof it completely open or closed. The roof switch need only be touched briefly (>0.5 sec) and the module extends the respective impulse so that the roof opens or closes fully automatically. The automatic movement of the roof can be stopped at any time by pressing either button again.

I think they'll both be great mods and how the Z4 shoudl have been built.
Just hope you don't have a partner that reaches for heated seats and opens the roof on the motorway....lol

cj, it won't open when the car's in motion anyway...I thought?
Sounds like a great Christmas present for your Z hutch...just what it asked for huh?!

That seems like a good price - where did you get them from if you don't mind me asking?

Steve

I won the BMW Z4 Remote Roof Module on ebay from reinhold direct, and then contacted directly about the second module to enquire about carraige more than anything, and he can back with a price that was really cheap.

try contacting direct, you may get both even cheaper.

Well done :D I see you line the jobs up but you haven't started anything yet, right?

As far as I know, you have a CDV to do, a SatNav retrofit and now the modules

PVR

your not far wrong, yes still got the CDV, the way it's going I am going to do that myself, but I do have two other garages I will talk to first.

Sat Nav still looking for a MkIV DVD drive, i know there are plenty around, just trying to find a cheap one, and Nav isnt my highest priority.

I will get much more use out of these modules when the summer comes.

Very nice! Sounds too kewl. 8) My 2003 doesn't even have any type of remote operation. I'm stuck sticking the key in the door or pushing and holding the button. Seems "old fashioned" now to me.

I have the same module,
Ive yet to fit it to the M but did fit it to my previous Z4,

It seemed a little temperamental to me, Very sensitive and didn't always work

Its probably due to the very poor remote design from BMW, But when it does work people DO stare
I wish the windows would drop all the way down with the roof however instead of coming back up after the roof drops :|

inTgr8r, nice - is easy to fit yourself?
Other than one pin at the back.... doesn't sound too bad.
I won't be installing until weather gets a little warmer, I'll snap a few when the time comes.
