so.... where is the best place for a refurbished caliper any thoughts ?

I have the front ones from a 2.0. One is only a couple of month or so old as well. Think it’s the passengers one

just my bleeding luck, I need the drivers front :headbang:

Well, if anybody has got a. Drivers front caliper I would be grateful, im baffled why it would reoccur 7 months later for no reason..
Speaking of grateful I'm Indebted to tug who with me fitted the roof in 34c of heat instead of going down the boozer. My thanks.
I did intend to do a video, but there was so much swearing and cursing there wasnt enough clean stuff to make a video with
As an early pioneer of the roof motor relocation it was clear he knew what he was doing, all i had to do was feed him coffee occasionally and apologise to the neighbours  :o

Let me check in the garage this week to confirm it’s the passenger. (Currently in Budapest so cant check now)

while im thinking about it.. would it be the caliper ? with a 7 month gap between me buying the car and it seizing and now 7 months later of almost daily use ? including the wales thrash ?? or could it be something else like guides or something ? or even the pads ??

How did you unseize it 7 months ago? Ive had 2 seize on me now and i think it just purely boils down to the cr*p state of our roads combined with the dust etc, eventually the piston just gives up.

High temperature spray copper grease.
Which leads me to wonder if it's the carrier or even the pads, there are so many pads and parts made by so many people and we assume they will fit without issue :?
