I am looking for this part.

Hello,

Please see attached pic.
I would like to purchase it. However, I have no idea what it called.

Please advise me.

Thank you.

Not seen that before. Is it behind the handbrake? If so I only have a small pocket.

Just had a look on realoem.

That is SOS emergency switch button with cover, p/n 6906953 and 7110228. Once considered buying one, modifying the labels and using them to integrate a garage door opener to the car.

I have found one. However the price is almost $80 included shipping fee. Hhahaha
So, are you going to finally let us know:
  • whether you're in a country that actually uses this
  • whether you have all the wiring in place to make use of it
  • which part you were originally talking about (the plastic cover and/or the surround and/or the buttons)
:P

BTW, here's another forum post showing the differences between the US/EU models, and that some US owners replace their's with the basic 'oddments tray' when their BMW SOS/concierge subscription expires

The cover/housing is 51467110232 (Housing), and the buttons are 61316906953 (Switch Mayday) - but both are listed for US only models...but it's feasible that the US model was used in South Korea too.

We're not - but as he was a newbie I looked at his previous posts. No criticism or smugness intended - just clarification!

pretty sure this system is now defunkt, even the guys in the US are replacing this with the oddiments tray.

In keeping with the British side of things. I did a conversion replacing one of these switches for a active one. That when used causes the passenger seat to eject out of the car. Name is Bond James Bond..!!! Kidding aside replacing with oddments tray is on my list.
