I got caught in 2 inches of snow last year. It wasn't forecasted and it took me two hours to get home. Thirty minutes were spent trying to climb a minor hill 800 meters from my home. Never again. I put my car away on three days ago. Hopefully i'll bring in out in March.
 
it's -1 guys! Those summer tires won't provide much traction.

For you Americans that temperature is in Celcius. :roll:
 
enfield, i feel for ya too and yup, in the same boat as u ... as per my profile, i'm also in Ontario ... although i'm not feeling for you THAT much since you have a kick butt SUV to drive while you are waiting for the salt to clear the roads :wink:

just part of living where we live, but at least we have lots of opportunities to play in the snow over 3 months ... ok ok, i admit, not even close to the amount of fun we have in the summer months ... SIGH ... so depressing to think of what's coming :cry:
 
yes fire-n-ice - I noticed your 'wood heater' with the pooch! Youd should come here in late January or early February and we will take you skiing in Quebec. :D
 
Don't temp me..I'm known for taking folks up on stuff like that! I've never been snow skiing, just water..I'd love to try sometime; that and skydiving are two things I want to do before I die.
 
I was out today for a quick run. Visiting some friends and that was an excellent opportunity to use the Z!
And the car must have been expecting me, it started in a split second as if it was eager to get out of the garage.
Almost felt as if it started before the key had finished turning! :D

Temperature was between -1 to 4 degrees, all depending on which area we crossed.
And, enfield, I do have the winter tyres on :)
 
Damn. I do not have winter's for the Z4M! I am not planning on keeping it. The lease is up in September 2009.... Therefore I am not getting snows.

Already have 8 tires in the Garage for the FX45. 4 of them are on rims! The other 4 are just hanging out! Then there are the 4 on the car! Damn - I have 12 tires for the FX45.... actually 13. BUGGER!

You are welcome to come. I was planning on taking a week off and heading into the North Country towards the end of January. Hiking/snow shoeing, skidoos, dog sledging and skiing are on the menu!

WHAT???? you are not keeping the Z? Why not? Are you getting a Z6? a Z8? a 2009 Z4?
 
enfield's next car choice is a continuously moving target. M3, S5, 911... maybe even just a supercharger for the ol' Zed. Whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be an excellent choice. :thumbsup:

I never said anything about an S5. I had mentioned that I may go for an RS5 (if they ever make it) and then become a one car man.

My sister-in-law talked me into an 911. I am sticking to the 911! :rofl:
