I drive top down at least once a month during the winter.

Why don't you guys get a hard top for it, then you can enjoy it year round?

:driving:

I have a Z4M Coupe. Thus, the hard top is not the issue. The issue is ground clearence + RWD in snow. I am as of today driving the Infiniti FX45 with Blizzacks. I also got Bosch Icons. Those are wonderful blades for the winter. Here's a link: http://www.boschautoparts.com/Products/ ... s/Icon.htm

The busch Icons....I've been wanting to get these for my Z, but what model number blades do I get? I looked on the site but they don't include the Z. I have 03 3.0 sports package.

Aebous, I have no idea! My Infiniti takes 22 inches on the Drivers and 20 inches on the passenger.... I would look at the size of the OEM blades and get the same size.... My Z stays indoors  in the winter as I said and still had OEM's.

Yeah I guess you have a point there. Actually I technically don't need em. Here it rains for about half the day then the sun is out for the next month

Dealer - BMW has proprietary clips - PIAA offers a clip for their blades that will fit our wiper arms.

Will be putting my winter sneakers on next week and driving all winter except those few day when we actually get a snow storm... :driving:

The last two years I've had the Z tucked away by October 1st. This year I'm holding out until the snow flies. Had it out yesterday(5 celcius). It seems more responsive in the cooler weather. Can this actually be true?

I live in NJ and drive top down at least once a month too. In fact, I had the top down last sunday. It was sunny and 53 degrees. Perfect weather.

every night this week I've walked out to my car in the dark, gotten in and started driving, top up. By the time I hit the guard station on the way out, i've stopped, dropped the top and thanked god I live in this beautiful part of one of the most effed up states in the union.

I find that top down in brisk weather is totally invigorating. Decent jacket, gloves, scarf and heated seats is all it takes to stay comfy down to about 46 F.

I also find I get more double take looks from passersby, because the roadster effect is less expected. 8)

Luckily winters are pretty mild here in the NW, and we always have warm snaps. I drive the RAV4 when it's really yucky, though.
