Due to help from my friendly bank manager, I slip tripped and accidentally brought an e89 - well that's what my official line is to SHMBO!!!

IMO it's stunning and very decent spec!

Deep sea blue with Pure white nappa leather.
335 SDrive DCT
Heated Seats
Pro Satnav
Media interface
I drive
Parking sensors front and rear
Comfort access
Adaptive MSport suspension

Should pick it up this week some time and will get pics up

Can you run us slowly through 'the accident' so we can avoid a similar problem (not)
Sounds like a great spec

Sounds a familiar spec......Congratulations

Welcome to the DSB club! best combo... (i may be slightly biased...)
I didn't know we had a DSB club.
Can I join?

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the kind words, if all goes well I should be picking the car up tomorrow.

Titan - I did wonder if it was you that was selling it, as the cars look very similar - but the wheels are different and there is no micky mouse ariel :D

I am looking forward to having a 2 week bonding session starting on Sunday ( Derby - Freiburg - Milan - Monaco - Frejus - Derby)...hope we get on :driving: :driving: :driving:

As for my old M, I was lucky enough that my bank manager allowed me to borrow the full amount, allowing me to sell the M privately, which you will notice is in the for sale section of the forum....

As for accidently, well I wasn't really looking to hard, was thinking mid winter and then I saw this car in this colour combo, in the 335 with the all the kit and a crazy good (IMO) price. It was just too good to be true, so a quick call to the bank, and I am now in a little bit more debt - but hey life is for living!!

The origianl invoice for the car shows a final cost of just under £52,000 (crazy noney if you ask me) - but 4 years and 38k miles later it was mine for £18,000 with the bonus of years BMW extended waranty.

I did consider a 3 series, but I found them a little bland - plus the start up sound shocked me, it sounds as good if not better than the M

Slightly random, but for those in the Know, is it a simple fit to put the M Sport fron bumber on the car?? I like the look of the car as it is, but also like the M sport versions front bumber...what else othere than wheels do you get externally on M sport?

Sounds like a nice toy! I'm sure you will enjoy it. I sometimes wish I'd waited to buy my 3.0 last year but I,ve enjoyed mine for two holidays now :)
I notice you are going to be in the region of Freiburg - Do try and make the tine to drive to Mulhouse (France) and have a look at the Schlumpf collection - If you enjoy cars you will be blown away at this collection of old and exotic. Definitely worth the trip and plenty of parking

On my way home in my DSB in the morning and planning the next trip as we speak!

For info 95 (super) is €1.64 in Germany today. Posh stuff is €1.70 ish

Thanks for the heads up ronk - any more info on the exact location or anything in particular to look out for?

Fuel price isn't looking too bad, will be intrested to see what I can average out over the trip - when I went to camping earlier in the year, just out side paris, about 700 mile round trip i manged 30MPG, which i was shocked at - was expecting lown 20's

rank we are staying in hotels, ecept frejus that is one of those mobile home things...I like the nice side of life, but I also like the chilling by the bbq which you don't get with hotels...

why do you ask?

We used to take the caravan to the Black Forest area for many years and you mentioned camping so might have been able to save some you some heartache !
