Been out for a gentle run down to the coast toaday (frinton) with mrs smartbear, running on tesco momentum i tried very hard to drive economically running at 60mph ish on the A12 and obeying the speedlimits on the smaller roads-i parked up with 45.7mpg displayed on the computer! Very impressive for a 3litre 6cyl engine.
I dont normally drive that conservatively but its interesting to know what it can do in an emergency.
Ive also regained my one touch window closing after a swift re-teach of the windows :)
just got to get the roof functions programmed into my key & a couple of new rear tyres and hopefully that will be the meddling over for a little while :driving:
regards

Great mpg, glad ya enjoyed ya run out,I too prefer to use momentum think it helps with the mpg.but 45.7 sure you aint got a diesel :)

I drove from Oxford to Newcastle, just over 250 miles on Tuesday on just over half a tank. I wanted to make it back to Oxford on thursday night on one tank in total but the wind was taking too many MPG off. I would have got 480 out of one tank though. You were on the A12 which I reckon is a very flat road. I got 43.2 mpg from Oxford to Newcastle and that aint nowhere near flat!

Could I ask how to measure MPG over an individual trip? My computer only seems to show one MPG figure, and that looks like it's for the life of the car.

Presumably you're doing this by resetting the system, but not having an owner's manual I don't know how.

Thanks.

Hi smartbear,

Which resetting method did you use to reset the windows ?

I've done the searches tried various methods mine work fine except can't get the one touch up to reset.

Thanks
Jim.

Hi budfox, I pushed in & held the indicator stalk for a few seconds and it resets whatever function the computer is displaying at the time.
Grumpyowl, I was told to raise & lower the windows & hold the button for a few seconds after the travel had completed, I did this & I'm sure my one touch closing was functioning last night-however I've arrived back home after my nightshift & I seem to only have one touch opening with the one touch closing AWOL!
Further investigations required
Regards

Hi Smartbear,
That's what I did and what I've got, one touch opening but not closing.
Thanks for your reply I'm doubting if I had one touch closing before (must be a senior moment,I'm sure I had)
I'll get the old owners manual out tonight and have a read of that.

Cheers
