Hydraulic Roof Hoses

Hi all,

After filling several hours over several weekends with various swear words, I've managed to relocate the roof motor...

Unfortunately, I managed to snag a cable with my efforts. The cables look in perfectly good condition, as does the motor.

The split is nice and accessible around 10cm away from the roof motor, now located in the boot. I was originally looking at a hydraulic coupler. A company in America seems to sell them, but the one I could find in the UK apparently doesn't fit the Z4 :(

Anyway, does anybody know if I'll be able to fit a new Hel cable easily without removing the roof?

It's cable 13, one of the long ones.

You can but it's not easy. It's not too bad if you partially remove the top; unbolt the hinges and lift & block the top up as far as you can.

This sounds promising, appreciate your reply.

I'm hoping I can squeeze through.

If not, it'll have to wait for a dry few days in Spring.
