Hybrids - Why? or why not?

At present ooop north, macan waitlist is 6months on deiesel v6, a year on petrol v6. Whether or not the currently occupied slots are all customer or dealer build slots not sure. Would need to put down a deposit to see if a slot opens up

Hmm, death of the hybrids, assuming fast charging stations can be installed nationwide by 2018 - all manufacturers will go tesla style

I'm considering the X5 4.0e when I change my 3.0d at some point in the near future but am worried about residual value as they are an untested long term model and at the 3 year trade in point may be worth less than a diesel.

Only because of tax incentives and free parking / charging.

Exactly,You don't buy an hybrid because it's fun. You by it because it's practical for commuting or to impress your peer group, by demonstrating you can afford the latest gadget. When you can buy one that's fun, cheap as chips and looks good, I'm in.
