Hunting and flat spot off of idle.

I own a 2003 Z4 2.2.
It was put off road back in 2015 because I was working away from home etc.

On removing it from stowage a few weeks back - It was running pretty crap all in.
I started to work through the issues, new plugs, intake rubber boot, oil flush and change, air filter change.
These changes have certainly improved things but I'm left with a poor idle and a flat spot off idle to which
the car will either cut out or rev normally.
Any ideas to where to look?
Cheers

Sounds like an air leak

What’s the condition of the intake boot elbow like?

Also does it get worse when you put you foot on the brake pedal?

May need a code reader on it too, just help narrow it down.
[ref]bigwinn[/ref], he says he's changed the intake boot?
I had very similar issues with wifey's 2.5i a while back and it turned out to be a vanos valve sticking in it's bore. This was due to me fitting a recon unit which had sat dry on the shelf for a while. If yours has been sat all that while then it's possible the same has happened, but you'd need to see the codes to confirm it.
Whereabouts are you? Close to anyone with a code reader?
