Hunter Wheel Alignment at Kwik Fit

After 3000 miles running on non run flats, I was still getting a slight wobble on the steering wheel.
Today I was in Kwik Fit in Washington Tyne and Wear, getting the wife's Juke fitted with Winter Wheels.
I was paying the Bill and noticed a sign saying they did wheel alignment, I casually asked if it was the Hunter Wheel Alignment System, they said to my surprise, yes we,ve had it for over a year.
This branch of Kwik Fit have looked after my company vehicles for years,so I trust them.
What the hell go for it. let's get the Z in.
There,s a Hunter Real Time Screen in the waiting room and as the guy is adjusting caster, camber and toe, you can see exactly what,s going on.
The car was set up correctly with weights etc. The cost was £64 and took less than an hour.
I went for a test drive and was impressed, wobble has disappeared.
So despite what people say about Kwik Fit, I,m one of the satisfied customers.
:D

You have to speak how you find, pleased your happy with them.

I'm now free of them, my new DD lease car we didn't take out the tyre option.
I've had tyres fitted on the wrong way round on various occasions and Static balance (used for motorbikes) instead of Dynamic balance also on many occasions.
Even my previous lease company would not let them do a 4 wheel alignment I had to go to main dealer for that.
After being tied for the last 2 cars and 6 years on my lease cars with them, I found the quality of work and customer service varied widely with them, from branch to branch.

I certainly would not trust them with my Z.

But as said above you have to speak how you find. from me.

Suppose its all down to the staff and if they have any pride in their work, took my E46 to the Stockport branch and they completely fu*k it up, after 2 attempts couldnt get it right an me having a bit of a rant they finally got a chap down from Hunters to sort my car , whilst I watched and explained everything at the same time educating the kwik fit monkeys,
Take the zed to Infinity in Stockport when alignment is needed , excellent staff and a first rate job,
M

As you say, it's all down to the staff.
In fact I get more hassle from the Lease Plan company, than Kwik Fit.
I like most people are cautious when it comes to the Z4.
But as I said I trust the fitters in this branch, so if anybody fancies using this particular branch, then go for it.
It's only 1 mile from my house, so it's very convienient.

Thanks for sharing - some branches do indeed run a hunter system.......as mentioned its all about who is using the tool :tumbleweed:

They did my Z4 last year,I watched the man do the job and he explained it step by step, was pricey at £80+ though.
