Hunter alignment settings

Hunter alignment, 2019 and 2023.

Ignoring my car, I wondered why the standard settings were different, do they vary between garages or have they been updated in the last 4 years?

That certainly seems a bit strange. :?

But unless I knew someone at a tyre fitters had a good reputation I wouldn't go near them for an alignment.

I went to Will at TWG and he did my MC to E46 M3 CSL settings and my car was transformed. Seeing as you take your car there anyway I'd get him to align it too.

Sadly I don't have the settings because his printer cartridge died part way through printing. :(

Don't worry, no intention of letting kwik fit do the alignment, just a free check as they are over the road

Rightly or wrongly I have only let the dealer do this as I am always worried about spotty youths doing something to my car.

I know there's 10k difference, but it does make you wonder if KwikFit have fudged the figures to get you to pay for an alignment?

Alignment is one of the simpler jobs you can do on a car. There's really very little that can go wrong.

There's always the possibility of seized nuts and bolts, or as happened to me once a local garage didn't know how to adjust rear toe on the E85, but they won't charge you if that happens.

It's possible in theory a Hunter machine could be mis-calibrated, but I expect there are appropriate regulations to guard against that.

It’s more than likely that the dealer saves such jobs for their very own spotty youfs!

Nowadays you get a video of everything they do, so I can see it isn’t

Are you sure it’s everything that they do? Or just what they want you to see

Ignore my cars readings, it's the standard figures being different that I found odd

Agree on CSL settings. That is the way forward. Also 2nd that recommended for TWG. Safe hands.
CSL setting are on here somewhere if you search. Had my car setup to those settings.
