Hungarian Grand Prix

Talking to myself here, but LH fecked it right up... Jeez...

Think you might have been Bing. Out for lunch with mother at that point. Then watched the cycling. Just caught up on the f1 on IPlayer. It was rather good. :driving: Now need sleep. :)

Great race, as soon as it started you knew it was going to be a bit different to normal. Really happy that LH was ahead of NR, the natural order of things still prevail!

tbh i'm not sure it was a great RACE, there was no outstanding driving (unless you consider driving 69 laps without any competition or hinderances.. vettel), just endless mistakes, capitalising on safety car regulations and pit/tyre limitations and crashes causing further crashes.

Lewis was verrrrrry lucky in the end, and mercedes seem to think their starts are good when everyone else seems to be beating them off the line.

The winners really were the lower-ranking drivers who managed to get some points, i still think F1 needs a rethink. If an eventful race is one where parts fall off, cars cant finish and pit stop strategy wins.. it's not racing imo.

Yeah the actual racing was middle of the road (too many potential puns there to even think about) but the eventfulness is what made it great - reminded me of the race a few years back, Canada I think, where Button did 5 or 6 pit stops/drive throughs and still won... Really good to have a mixed up result now and again. I'm more of a Lewis fan now than I used to be and don't mind if he doesn't win, just finishing ahead of Nico was lucky. My sister and her family, who never watch F1, were on the edge of their seats, too.

You mean like it was in the Senna, Prost Mansell era. I'm all for unreliable cars it adds to the drama. It's a show it's not a sport

Maybe I should buy a TVR

Totally agree.

Honda appear to be working on reliability. Yeah, because consistently finishing last is where you wanna be

In 1993 when Ferrari were a pile of crap, they focused on speed. Better to win one race and retire from 3 than finish last in four out of four races :D

Great race though... Well deserved win by Seb

I'll admit this was one of the best ones recently, though that doesnt make it GOOD.

There were at least some overtakes, a few battles for places etc. Though the coverage missed half of the passes, and most of the race was simply letting each cars statistics take its place in the pecking order, adjusted for various failures. Still have some of the worlds best drivers sat at the back of the grid unable to do anything.

Happy with that result (finally)

How much stock do you think is in Red Bull jacking it in Woots? Must be an un-nerving time for you guys.

Put it this way....I've not updated my cv ready to send out to anyone

We aren't going anywhere...

Good to hear, firstly as no -one wants to see people lose their job and secondly F1 needs the big investors obviously. Roll on the 2nd half of the season.
