i am looking to lower ride height and widen the track, on my 3.0 o4 plate. after "slamming" my previous car (e46) on coil overs it completely ruined the ride.
i am a total novice on suspension setups and wanted to know if i could improve the stance of my z4, without compromising on handling ....i plan on keeping my original 18" elipsoids. ...any one got any advice, would be greatly appreciated

Assuming you are on the standard set of 18inch staggered fitment 20mm rears & 15mm fronts with Eibach lowering springs will leave your car looking sweet
depending how low you drop you may want to go 15mm rear/10mm fronts or maybe drop a size in width on the tyres to 245 rear/215 front .
Many on here with very similar set ups so wait for some pics

  Good find Mr.Wilks been looking for some spacers for a while now. Didn't know if 20mmR + 15mmF would be too wide and cause rubbing issues.

I've bought cheap bolts with cheap-ish spacers previously (all I need is hubcentric I thought). The bolts were so soft I had three snap on me at various occasions of taking wheels off for a detail...

Never again! So have gone with the links GWatson provided in a recent spacers related thread.

Jeeez you must be torquing those up tight :o
i appreciate there are some cheapo wheelbolts but ive used the hubs & bolts linked on a good few VW/Audis & never had any issues when tightening the wheelbolts hand tight with wrench

Sorry Andy, that wasn't me pissing on your parade! They were horrible cheapo things looking back on it - I didn't use a torque wrench and I was about 18 (skinny as it is nowadays, let alone back then) so didn't take a lot of strength!

Its no flap to me mate & always good to get another view on things

Just received a set of the 20mm ones. Ordered them yesterday afternoon so great service.

I used to have 25mm bolt on spacers which were at least twice the weight on these jjc ones, so a bit of weight saving there.

Look like good quality items.
