Good luck with your new business,
As your putting it up on here are you going to set up special discounts to Z4-forum members ?

Hi Grumpyowl,

Thanks, my pricing will be listed on my website in the next ten days or so and yes, forum members will receive a discount on prices shown (might include ceramic wax as a free upgrade to any forum members who book in for June)
Would love to detail a forum Z4!

Modelled and rendered in Archicad 20 :)
You know your stuff  Do you use modelling or visual software?

Aha! Well, the lighting engine looks really similar to something I got addicted to using back in my design engineering days.
Used everything from Mech Desktop, to CATIA, to Solidworks and SolidEdge to Rhino3D (my tool of choice) and then using VRay to render the models. Some of the lighting models in VRay are just astoundingly realistic!
Dug out a few renders from an old ship design project from yonks ago....nice memories. Got carte blanche to come up with the deck layout and accommodation block design :o

couple more. the x-bow bow design was totally radical and unique to Ulstein, the company I was working for back in 2008.

Very impressive! It is very time consuming producing such detailed models, but worth it when you see the end results  Imagine drawing those up on a drawing board by hand, modern technology has come a long way!

tru-dat!
more difficult would have been engineering it, let alone drawing it up - just imagine how long all that stuff took to calculate back in the day with slide-rules etc. horrific. thank fk for matlab, ansys, et al!
I had to engineer that helideck to withstand an impact force of 20,000Nm within only a 20% deviation in its' intended max design strength to get ABS/Lloyds classification.
Done in 3 hours with ANSYS. would have taken 3 months to calculate the same by hand not 20-30 years ago perhaps!
