Booked car into HollandPark (Acton) dealer today. Took it on route for a jet wash and clean as I had some time. Car was looking great when it went in...even got some muc-off as an alternative to autoglym for wheels.

After waiting for it I came out to find the passenger footwell full of debris and handprints all over the dash- in addition to some greasy stuff on the tyres. They took it back to clean the interior (outside was spotless) and it all came back washed and vacuumed.

If this forum has taught me anything it's examine you car after BMW 'valet' it. To my surprise there was a 2 inch gauge out of the front onside tyre and wheel. Service rep, service manager and someone else came out in turn to deny it. It was so obvious as the grease was all over the side wall but not in the gauge!!

A few photos later, apparently they will check CCTV and 'get back to me'...after looking at every corner of the car and realising this damage doesn't fit my car :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Can anyone advise??

They did!

Nothing on the paperwork, by their admission. Also, I didn't leave I stayed for the "90 minute" service.

Given there was nothing on their inspection do I have a leg to stand on?

Thank you

Thank you

BUT did you inspect with them.........!

If there was nothing on their inspection then suggest you need to start of gently to get the issues put right.

If there was nothing on their inspection, the implication is there was no damage as they accepted the car. When it came back it was damaged. As Alan says, start gently using their own documentation and then get louder.

Thank you guys! 90 minute oil inspection, naive on my part!

It started gently today, I hope they see sense!

Update to follow
