Hello, I'm 21 and will get my first car soon. (The reason why it's late is that South Korea never allows driving before 19.)

But the worry is some of people say sports car is not that appropriate for first drivers. This is because 1) sports car is uncomfortable and 2) considering the economy of sports car, it is hard to maintain the car in countries who have high oil price like South Korea.

Guys what do you think?

Forget 1) and 2), especially that the E89 is a comforable vehicle.

The real peril is:
3) novice drivers tend to press the loud pedal in mid-turn and crash. 8)

allex if you have the money for an 35is, hell you should have enough money for gas. but i don't know how your driving skils are, but these machines are pretty good, the only part to watch out for is driving to hard in to a corner on a rainy day.

Uncomfortable? Rubbish!

First car, why not as long as you are sensible. They're powerful and being an eager new driver, something could go wrong faster in a sports car than you may be able to deal with.

Daily driver, depends on your miles, and your income, calculate if you can afford it, check the average MPG for the car you want. Check servicing costs too etc...

Got my Z4M at 23 but a 35 as a first car is not a good idea. I had 5 cars before this all moving up in the HP department. You need to learn and respect these cars before hand which is good to have something less powerful and go up the ladder, or the loud pedal will end up with you wrapped around a tree.
