is there anyone in yorkshire that can give me a snow report - my missus is supposed to be going to sheffield from blackpool tonight
 
It is a fine fall drifting and pretty slippery here in the north peak district
I am at 300m

I would avoid the snake pass if I was her.
M62 M1 makes more sense to me
 
That'll be fun! I think it's going to turn from snow to rain as the evening wears on so the later she leaves the better it will probably be. On the Beeb this morning they were forecasting the possibility of travel disruption on the M62 this afternoon and were quoting 10cm of snow.

I'm in North Notts and it's just started snowing here.
 
Cheers chaps - she will be in the discovery not the zed, but if the car in front cant move, it doesnt matter what car you are in - she wont be going till 6pm, I may ask again later

You can also access the cameras through the highways agency

It did mention the woodhead pass is now closed - as of two minutes ago.
