How worn is your interior?

Hi, still on the look for an immaculate coupe. Currently viewed 4 coupes and all the interiors have had more wear than I expected for around 40,000 miles.

Just wondering is yours "like new" or are the Z4 interior easily worn?

Hmm I only saw 2, bought the 2nd. Neither looked like that though
I bought a 60k miler and not really a mark on the steering wheel. But have seen some people have issues with the steering wheel in particular but not to the extent of those photos

Purchased the first one I viewed. 61k and seven years old now. Keep it in top condition garage Queen. If its any help my favourite pair of shoes are worn in not worn out and are the most comfiest pair I own. So too is my Zed

Door handles are easily marked tbh, and that bolster is not as bad as some I have seen... Those steering wheel inserts are a bit fecked, been driven by people with lots of rings. Those parts do wear though - mine had done 60k and all the edges were shiny where the rubberised coating had worn off.

My coupe has 92k on & absolutely no marks/scratches on any interior surface :| in fact the pics of the steering wheel leave me open mouthed :o my engine bay is better condition
The leather seat bolsters always wear but its a matter of keeping them maintained with good products
don't be put off in your quest for a C many good ones are out there & at reasonable money

Got mine 3 weeks ago with 63k and the interior is very good :grin:my steering wheel is abit scratched dame rings!! but that's it and i think its an easy refurb

The steering wheel does seem to mark up easily...But non of the Z's i have had are that bad..

Seat bolsters take a beating, its the nature of the sport seat and how you get in and out of the car, especially if your a fat knacker like me..

Door handles similarly do mark easily....But IIRC there not to expensive from the dealers to replace..

 Whoever owned this one must have had 3 rings on each finger!

Yeah, mine were more worn than scratched...

Door handle covers are £27 each from BMW on fleabay.

I think the steering wheel inserts are pricey though, was a thread on it recently somewhere

About £120 for the covers IIRC, well over £200 if you need the buttons, but they seem to wear much less, if at all.

that steering wheel wear is awful. looks like a dogs been at it :o mine are immaculate.

door handles can become scratched easily. i've caught mine with my leg a few times when exiting the car and it falls onto concrete :(

seat wear is normal and better than most i've seen.

At 61K, my interior probably looks like it has 5K wear on it.

Ditto, but at 52k.

The steering wheel parts can be replaced as mentioned earlier, and are a piece of cake to do. They wouldn't worry me, neither would a worn gear knob etc as easily replaced and if the car is otherwise straight and in good condition, an odd trim piece replacement is no drama in the long-run. Or you could get a perfect RS and save yourself the search
