How wide is your Pipes?

Hi People,

Just wondering what the desired diameter of my new quad pipes should be? I was thinking maybe a 3inch pipe for the four which is about 76mm each???

Does this sound about right? I want them too look OEM but slightly larger - does anyone have any pictures of their pipes and the sizes that they went for?

Personal opinion but I don't like overly large pipes as it looks like you're trying too hard. I have 80mm Hamann on an X5 and even on such a huge car that's the limit you'd want to go to, so 76mm sounds big.

Can't measure the Z4 as Mrs CJ had nicked it as the sun's out :thumbsdown:

These are 3" or 76mm in new money
I think you could go a little bigger but 3" is about the norm....These are from Mij you can find them on ebay just put a search in for exhaust tips.

I've managed to find some examples, I'm pretty sure they are all 3" (76mm) but if anyone has anything larger like a 3.5" pipe then please post your pictures? It would be great to compare them
