How to unplug the accelerator cable?

I've hit a stumbling block replacing my carpet. I can't figure out how to disconnect the accelerator pedal connector. In their wisdom BMW have made the loom so short that you can't get it out far enough to see, and I don't want to be too rough with it for obvious reasons. Anybody know how to undo it so I can pull the plug out? Here's the best photo I could get:

I dare say that there is another clip on the rear of the plug,same as the one you can see..

I would have thought both the tangs need to be pushed in at the same time as easing out the plug.

Thanks, yep that did the trick. Very hard to do as there is virtually no room on the other side to squeeze.
