How to swop cupholders

I have 2 Z4s at the moment, a Roadster & a Coupe, but will probably only keep the Coupe in the longer term

As it is the R has upholders but the C doesn't, so I'd like to swop them over. Is there a "how to" related to upholders that would give me a clue as to how to do it?

two screws - one at the top left of the vent, the other hide inside, just eject the holder section to see it

Be careful doing this job.

The cup holders are nasty cheap brittle plastic and the way they install in the dash is also something I would expect in a Renault van, not a BMW sports car.

I replaced my drivers side cup holder with a new one and I ended up spending an hour on the job because when the new one went in and was screwed in properly, the vent and cupholder assembly were wobbling about in the dash hole.

I ended up using a hairdryer to work the dash aperture into a better shape.

Hmm I've removed mine twice with no issues, a 5 minute job

Agreed.
Open cup-holder and undo the screw. Pull the small black grommet off in the vent and undo the screw and job done.

Where can you get replacement cup holders from, Sopers don't have any and neither does Germany, told it could take months!
