How to set the stereo volume?

I know how to adjust the volume to turn it up or down. However, when I drive the car I always need to turn the volume up a bit as it appears to revert to some lower predetermined level from the last time the car was driven. It is only me that drives the car and I only ever use the same key so it should not be because the car is resetting to another value. Anyone else have this problem? If so how to you reset it?

In most cars these days you can set the "on" volume but not sure if its the same with the zed. When i get in the car the last volume used is how it comes on. You can set the volume to get a bit louder the faster u go - check your manual.

CoupeChief - Thanks for your response. I have already set the volume to increase with speed, but with my Z the last volume used when I switch off is not used when I switch back on again - I appears to be reset to some 'pre-set' lower volume.

Have you set the speed variable volume correctly? The stereo has a feature to adjust the volume up line with speed to keep it audible, youre might be turned right up meaning it goes quiet when youre stationery?

To change it on non-idrive cars press the 'Audio' button on select "S-Vol" from the menu.

lazerium, I have the system set up so that the volume increases with speed and it is turned to max so I will try reducing it as suggested - thanks. However, I would expect the volume to start from some initial set position and increase from that and not reduce below the 'set' level. I will adjust the settings and see what happens.

lazerium, Tried reducing the level of the speed related volume but it makes no difference to the problem the volume always seems to revert to some predetermined low level :headbang:
