Hi all, i'm new to all this!

I was wondering if anyone knows of a detailed description with pics on how to:

Take silver panels apart in dash to be replaced by woody effect pieces. silver panels are, centre console, dash and little piece by the light switch.
Anyone have a how to take these bits apart?

Also

How to take door cards apart as my door speakers on both sides have packed up and need looking at.
Anyone have a how to remove door cards. Do the window switches and stuff just pop out or they held on with screw etc!

Thanks for any help guys :)

I dont know about the silver panels but I had the door cards off 2 weeks ago. There are the following screws to remove:

Behind the airbag logo
Behind the plastic circle on the inner door opener
2x underneath the silver door handle

Unfortunately once you have removed those then it is a bit of a brute force effort to pull it apart. It is just held on by clips so it does come off eventually.

The door unlock mechanism will fall down when you have the door off, but it's easy to put back in place before the door goes back on.

Ok and how do the window switches come out mate?
Do they pop out along with the mirror adjusters as well?

The switches stay in the door... there is a wire loom you can unclip though, for the switches and the speakers.

I would like to know how to replace the micro filter (climate control/air). Where it is located, steps to remove and put in the new filter. Thanks in advance!

Does any body have any tips for avoiding having to wipe oil off the top of the belly pan after draining it through the trap door?

Maybe I just need to have the car in the garage out of the wind when Ido it... of course then I'm wiping the splatters off of the garage floor instead of the driveway.

Can someone remind me where the thread is that tells you how to clean the drain holes for the roof? Did a search but can't find it

new to the forum,

Hi Folks

Another newbie here, very proud and happy owner of a 3.0si :D . I have a couple of questions...

Firstly I have the stock stereo and really fancy adding a couple of speakers into the door and more importantly an amp and a couple of 6x9 or subs in the storage bins. I am not looking for the ultimate sound system... just something with a little more bite and bass.

My questions are how is best to wire up the amp? Shall I splice the rear speakers inputs into a speaker line-in on a suitable amp? Or is their a better way? Secondly where could I source a remote line-in input from the headunit?

Many thanks

Hi there,

I'm new here, just wondering if anyone knows how to remove rear speakers? Maybe any pictures with aftermarket ones?

Any help much appreciated

Thank you

Hi, my names Cyril and tonight Mathew I'm going to be Bob the Builder! :P

Actually I wont be Bob, but if anyone can tell me where to find a how to realting to rear suspension changing, that would be great.

Hi all,

Being a new owner I'm reading through the manual for the car and it mentions having certain settings linked to the key used. Things like the seat position etc. It states that this is done by a dealer but I was wondering if this is something we can do ourselves?

Ok, thanks - I've heard the whole car can be closed up (hood/windows etc) with the key fob, is this another dealer job to do?

yup - though some dealers may claim the remote roof can't be done on preface lift cars - mine did :( Independant managed it though :) Also managed to sort the one-touch up on my passenger window which dealer didn't offer :D

I think the guy I bought the car from mentioned this had already been done on it. However, I'm not 100% sure, how can I test it? Is it like a double press on the close button, or press and hold... Or maybe even, A A B B + Start and Select?

to open press the unlock button 3 times and hold the third press...

to close press and hold the central button (I think - might be press twice and hold the second... cant remember )

Haha thanks, I will give it a try! It's raining a bit, my neighbours will probably wonder why my car is going crazy.
