It's held by two 'nuts' that cut their own thread into the plastic posts - they're not really 'nuts' but I don't know what else to call themzedwheels said:Hi. I have me a new front badge for the roadster. Whats the best way to get the old one off and fit the new one? The badge has two tapered legs each side and a location leg top centre. There is no thread so whats holding the badge in place under the metal? :?
Boot badge is friction fit, two posts on the badge slot into two rubber grommets/plugs in the boot skin - use a trim tool or old credit card to lever the badge up until you can get your fingers on it and then pull it out. Consider replacing the grommets/plugs at the same time - IIRC the OEM badge comes with new ones.Philiboy said:Hi, I am wanting to replace all the badges, so does anyone know how to replace the boot badge, and also the badges at either side?
Thanks
Front is held on by nuts, all is explained at the top of this threadPhiliboy said:Thanks for the help perrygun, is the front friction fit too or do I have to remove the grill as previously mentioned?
