How to replace the boot light bulb, please?

(I just hope it doesn't involve removing the boot rear panel.)

It's pretty simple, use a pry tool and just lift the light panel away from the plastic black trim and you will then be able to access the lightbulb.

You would think that's a joke but, my sister works in a care home.
One residents bed side lamp, which he needed to read, the bulb had died.
My sister asked other staff where the bulbs were kept.
She was told she couldn't change it, the handyman had to, and he's not in for 3 days.

Easiest way is to get a few Germans in.
