How to remove the headlight units?

Hi can anyone point me in the direction of a how-to guide to removing the headlight units please?

I want to install a HID kit and it looks like there is no room to do this with the headlights in situ

No need to remove the headlight, just open the cover on the arch liner and you will have more than enough room to play

Really? When I swapped a bulb out it was a pretty tight squeeze. Just can't imagine how I will get the ballast inside the light that way

Removing the bumper takes 15/20 mins tops. What will take the time - I believe as I have never done it - is realigning the headlights when back on. Ranski has done this loads though, as have others, so I am sure they can give some Top Tips.

When you screw them back into place make sure up hold the headlight on the bottom and push up when you tighten the screws, otherwise they wont sit flush with the bodywork

I've done it that many times in the garden in the dark now that i can get the bumper and headlights off in the dark, on my own in 15mins.

Very little work once you know what to do

+1 - pretty straight forward. As mentioned before, when putting the headlights back, look at your shut lines otherwise they can look pretty bad. Also, if you're doing them in the UK over the next couple of weeks, you may want to do it indoors
