How to remove sticky residue?

I have no idea how it happened but I found this piece of TAPE on the back of my car, not your normal scotch tape or whatever. Anyways, when I removed the tape slowly, many small pieces of tape remained on the car. It must've been on there for a day or two in the sun and won't peel off easily. Last thing I want to do is rub it out with my nail b/c it'll definitely leave scratches. Can anyone suggest any kind of cleaning product that'll get it out easily w/o being too harsh on the paint?

isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol will do the trick.
Use a MF towel & blot it on to soften it up, try not to rub too much.
It will also remove the wax, so you'll have to reapply after.

GooGone Brand is by far the best product I have ever used for "sticky" situations. Look it up on Google (not playing with words here!)

Wash your hands with soap and water, seems to do the trick for me....oh....yeah, x3 on the WD 40.
